Uncorked Chronicles Edition 13: Bikers Welcome at Our Motorcycle-Friendly Winery in Arizona
There is no rule that says a day at a vineyard has to start with a wine glass. Sometimes it starts with a full tank, an open road, and a group of motorcycles rolling into the Verde Valley.
At Alcantara Vineyards, bikers are welcome. Whether you are riding solo, traveling as a couple, or spending the day with a motorcycle group, our vineyard in Camp Verde makes an easy place to pull in, park the bikes, have lunch, and enjoy some time off the road.
For riders searching for a motorcycle-friendly winery in Arizona, we have a few practical things that make a difference: paved road access, motorcycle parking, food, plenty of non-alcoholic drinks, and a setting that gives you a reason to stay awhile.
Looking for a Motorcycle Stop in Camp Verde? Pull In
Our location in Camp Verde puts Alcantara in a convenient part of the Verde Valley for riders traveling between communities such as Cottonwood, Sedona, Prescott, Flagstaff, and the Phoenix area. Camp Verde itself sits in the southern Verde Valley and serves as a jumping-off point for recreation throughout the region.
When you arrive at Alcantara, you will not have to navigate a rough dirt road to reach the vineyard. The road into the property is paved, and motorcycle parking is available, making it straightforward for individual riders and groups to stop in.
Once the kickstands are down, there is no need to rush back out.
Our tasting room and restaurant are open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and regular visits do not require reservations.
Come Have Lunch at the Vineyard
A good ride calls for a good lunch, and our restaurant keeps things relaxed.
Our restaurant menu includes hand-tossed pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and small plates, so it is easy to grab something substantial without turning a ride stop into a formal meal. Current options include pepperoni, sausage, veggie, cheese, Sweet & Spicy Thai, Fresca, and Margherita pizzas, along with sandwiches such as the Triple Decker Club, BLT, Turkey & Cheddar, and Veggie Sandwich.
If the group would rather share a few things, there are options including bruschetta, hummus, an antipasto plate, artisan breads, and a specialty cheese plate.
Grab lunch, find a place to settle in, and take a little time to enjoy the vineyard before the next stretch of road.
Riding Today? There Are Plenty of Non-Alcoholic Options
For anyone continuing a motorcycle ride afterward, we offer a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks so riders can enjoy Alcantara while keeping the rest of the day’s ride alcohol-free.
Our current NA selection includes four mocktails:
Prickly Pear Delight, Breezy Blackberry Fizzle, Cran-Tific Limeade, and Tropical Breeze.
There are also non-alcoholic beers, including Sam Adams, Blue Moon, Busch, Old Milwaukee, and Michelob Ultra Zero, plus Wild Tonic kombucha flavors, sodas, sweet and unsweetened iced tea, Arizona Green Tea, lemonade, Perrier, coconut water, ginger beer, coffee, and hot tea.
That variety is intentional. We want riders, designated drivers, families, and anyone who simply is not drinking alcohol to have plenty to choose from when they visit.
Make Alcantara Part of a Verde Valley Motorcycle Ride
There is plenty to see around Camp Verde before or after lunch.
The area is surrounded by the highlands, river country, and wide-open Arizona landscapes that make the Verde Valley worth exploring. Camp Verde sits along the Verde River and provides access to outdoor recreation throughout the surrounding region.
Riders planning an Arizona motorcycle day trip can use Alcantara as a destination of its own or build us into a larger Verde Valley itinerary.
We are also part of the broader Verde Valley Wine Trail, so guests traveling with friends who want to explore Arizona wine country have plenty of options nearby as well.
Before setting out, especially on a longer ride, it is also worth checking current Arizona road conditions through AZ 511 for closures, construction, traffic, or weather that could affect the route.
And if you want to add more stops around town, Visit Camp Verde offers information on local attractions, recreation, and other things to see around the area.
Stay a Little Longer
One advantage of making a vineyard your lunch stop is that there is more to do than eat and immediately head back to the bikes.
Alcantara is a family-owned, sustainably farmed vineyard with more than 20,000 vines and 17 varietals in the heart of Arizona wine country.
Depending on when you visit, you may also catch live music or another event at the vineyard. Our events calendar is the best place to see what is scheduled for the day of your ride.
Guests who want to see more of the property can also explore our tours and tastings. Complimentary vineyard and winery tours are currently offered Fridays and Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. and last approximately 15 minutes.
Or simply order lunch, grab a cold NA drink, and enjoy the view.
There is nothing wrong with making the stop itself the plan.
